In a time of increasing ecological and ethical awareness, Theme Traders is dedicated to a policy of social responsibility in all areas of operation and is constantly seeking new ways to make positive changes where we can strive to reduce our environmental impact.

Theme Traders also offer opportunities for our clients to participate, support our local community, and champion many non-profit organisations. Through this approach Theme Traders is working in an ecologically and ethically responsible way, and continues to develop this daily by employing a number of different environmentally friendly systems, and is constantly updating and adapting to meet growing demand for an eco-friendly corporate world, some of the methods we practice are:

• ENERGY EFFICIENCY - Our company premises are as energy efficient as possible, we also offer the option of LED lighting. Timers are installed for heating and lighting systems. We have switched to Energy Saving light-bulbs wherever possible.


• RECYCLING - Our entire company recycles paper, employs a waste reduction system for larger items and also recycles used batteries. By the nature of Theme Traders, as a hire company, we are regenerating and reusing products everyday.


• FUEL - Our fleet of vehicles run off alternatives to full leaded fuel.                                                                                                                               


• PLANT-A-TREE SCHEME - A new opportunity we are delighted to be able to offer our clients is a fresh idea–where on request, we plant, care for and dedicate a tree for you at our farm (terms and conditions apply).


• WASTE PRE- TREATMENT - On bulk waste all relevant items are separated and pre-sorted.                                                                                  


• CARBON FOOTPRINT - We are conscious of reducing and balancing our carbon footprint, currently maintaining over 2000 mature trees and are growing another 950. Each tree breathes in 73kg of carbon over 100 years. Trees include Oak, Ash, Maple, Alder, & Hazel.         


• COMMUNITY CARE - Our local community is extremely important us at Theme Traders, and we endeavour to support it where ever we can.      From the use of many local suppliers and services, many within walking distance, to the backing of local schools and arts groups. Many of our employees live locally and when demand is high, we use local hire companies to assist us.     


• TEAM CARE - Along with local community welfare is our team welfare, a group of tight-knit people. The family feel is engendered by a wide range of social outings and educational programmes.


• CHARITY - Pod Charitable Trust is Theme Traders’ preferred charity, who we support whole-heartedly, even sponsoring it’s 30th Anniversary Ball this year. We also support many other charities and non-profit organisations throughout our work, including the Cricklewood Homeless Project, and offer discounted rates and charity packages where we can.


• CYCLE TO WORK - Theme Traders offers a ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme as part of our environmental friendly approach.                                               


• CONSULTATION - Regular meetings with entire company to brainstorm ideas to enhance our Corporate Social Responsibility Policy.
